Makin Hay, three giant figures constructed of hay and steel, are the creation of internationally acclaimed sculptor, Tom Otterness. These monumental figures celebrate the rich and changing relationship of the American people with their agricultural surroundings and heritage. Since 2003, Alturas Foundation has installed the figures in four distinct Western communities.
